Atalanta History

Atalanta was founded in 1907 by a group of Swiss students who were studying in Bergamo. The club initially played friendly matches against local teams, but they soon became a professional club and joined the Italian Football Federation in 1914. Atalanta’s first season in Serie A was in 1937, and they have been a regular in the top flight since then. The club’s most successful period was in the 1980s and 1990s when they finished runners-up in the Serie A twice and won the Coppa Italia once. Their current manager, Gian Piero Gasperini, has had a difficult stint with the club although keeping them relatively high in the table season after season.

Atalanta 2023/24 Season Predictions

This season we predict Atalanta will finish in the Champions league places. They have a very strong squad and have put out consistent performances over the years. We don’t think they will challenge for the title due to the strength of other clubs but they have enough quality to put one of the top teams this season.
