PSG History

PSG initially struggled to establish themselves in French football, and it wasn’t until the arrival of Portuguese coach Artur Jorge in 1991 that they achieved their first major success. Under Jorge’s leadership, PSG won their first Ligue 1 title in 1994 and reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League the following year. In 1998, the club won their second Ligue 1 title, and in 2001 they reached the final of the UEFA Cup, where they were defeated by Italian side Parma. The team experienced a decline in the early 2000’s, but they bounced back in 2011 with QSI’s acquisition and significant investment. Since then, PSG has won over 25 major trophies. PSG’s success has been built on the back of significant investment in players, wth the club spending over 1 billion euros on transfers since 2011

PSG Manager

PSG’s current manager is Luis Enrique. Luis Enrique, the former Spanish international footballer, has had a successful managerial career. He began with Barcelona B before taking the reins at AS Roma in Italy. However, it was during his time as the head coach of FC Barcelona that he truly made his mark, winning several major titles, including La Liga, the UEFA Champions League, and the FIFA Club World Cup. Enrique later managed the Spanish national team, leading them to victory in the 2018-2019 UEFA Nations League and the delayed UEFA Euro 2020, demonstrating his ability to oversee both club and international football successfully. His tactical acumen, emphasis on possession-based football, and penchant for developing young talents have earned him a prominent place among top football managers.
