OGC Nice, commonly known as Nice, is a French professional football club based in the city of Nice on the French Riviera. The club was founded in 1904 and has a long and storied history in French football. Nice won its first major trophy, the Coupe de France, in 1952, and went on to win the competition two more times in 1954 and 1997. The club’s most successful period came in the 1950s and 1960s, when it won four Ligue 1 titles in seven seasons, under the management of legendary Albert Batteux. Nice has also been a regular participant in European competitions, reaching the quarter-finals of the European Cup in 1957 and the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup in 1973.

The current owner of the club is British businessman Jim Ratcliffe, who acquired the majority stake in 2019.
