Villarreal History

After their initial promotion to La Liga in 1998, Villarreal spent several seasons consolidating their position in the top flight before achieving their first top-six finish in the 2004-2005 season. The following season was even more successful, as they finished third in the league and secured a spot in the Champions League for the first time in their history.

Villarreal have remained a strong force in La Liga, consistently finishing in the top half of the table and qualifying for European competitions. In the 2010-2011 season, Villarreal finished fourth in La Liga and qualified for the Champions League once again. What Have Villarreal Won

This season they will look to expand their trophy cabinet however this could be difficult given the dominance of Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Villarreal 2023/24 Season Predictions

Villarreal consistently finishes just outside of the Champions league spots and we predict they will do the same this season. Villarela have the potential to push on as they have a very talented squad however every season they lose some of their best players and have to start the rebuild over. For example, over the course of this and last season they have lost their manager, Unai Emery, striker Nicolas Jackson, defender Pau Torres, Chukwueze, Dia, Danjuma, Estupinan and Rulli. This paired with the other teams of a high quality in the league will lead them to a Europa league finish we believe.
