Bundesliga Winners 2023/24

Bayern Munich, with their history of dominance, will undoubtedly be one of the favourites. The Bavarian giants have consistently showcased their quality, depth, and tactical prowess, making them a formidable force to reckon with. Borussia Dortmund, with their attacking flair and exciting young talents, will likely pose a strong challenge as well. Other teams such as RB Leipzig, Borussia Mönchengladbach, and Bayer Leverkusen cannot be discounted, as they have consistently shown the ability to compete at the highest level. Ultimately, the 23/24 Bundesliga winners will likely be determined by the performances on the pitch, the strategic decisions of the coaches, and the determination of the players to seize their moment of glory.

Furthermore, the summer transfer window and the ability of clubs to strengthen their squads with strategic signings could have a significant impact on the title race. The ability to acquire key players who can make an immediate impact on the team’s performance could be a decisive factor in the pursuit of the Bundesliga crown.

Another aspect to consider is the impact of injuries, fixture congestion, and player fatigue, particularly for teams competing in multiple competitions such as the Champions League or Europa League. The ability to manage squad depth, rotation, and maintain player fitness throughout the season could prove to be crucial in determining the eventual champions.

Teams like the SC Freiburg and one of their close competitors, Eintracht Frankfurt, will be in contention to finish highly in the league, although winning it could be off the table, so European places are more realistic.

European Places in the 2023/24 Bundesliga

Alongside the likely title contenders, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, teams such as RB Leipzig, Borussia Mönchengladbach, and Bayer Leverkusen are expected to challenge for the top four spots. These teams have consistently demonstrated their ability to compete at a high level and possess the talent, depth, and tactical acumen required for European success.

Additionally, VfL Wolfsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt, who have been impressive in recent seasons, have the potential to secure Europa Conference League places. Nevertheless, the Bundesliga is known for its competitive balance, and there may be surprises from teams like Union Berlin or SC Freiburg who could exceed expectations and secure European qualification. The battle for European places in the 23/24 Bundesliga season promises excitement, drama, and intense competition until the final whistle, with the top teams fighting for spots in the UEFA Champions League.

Bundesliga Top Goal Scorer Prediction

Last season had a very exciting golden boot race with many players within reach of the award and with the award being won by two players, Nicolas Fulkrug and Christopher Nkunku. With Nkunku leaving and moving to Chelsea in the Premier League this season, that leaves an opportunity for more players to try and win the award.

Nicolas Fulkrug was last season’s top goal scorer and scores a high number of goals consistently every season. However if he stays at Werder Bremen then we don’t believe he will be winning it next season. At 30 years old and playing in a relatively poor team that finished 3 points above the relegation zone even if he were to score another 16 goals we believe there could be players who can score more next season.

Eintracht Frankfurt superstar, Kolo Muani, is our first pick for the golden boot. A young striker who scored 15 goals last season and provided 11 assists he is a fantastic French striker who could definitely go on to have a great season. This could be interrupted by a move to the Premier League, with Man United in talks with his agent as of July.

Then honestly any of Bayern Munich’s many attackers could win it. The main contenders however are Gnabry, Musiala and Muller. Ganbry scored 14 last season and Musiala scored 12. If Bayern Munich dominate the league next season there’s no reason that one of these players can’t go on to score many goals.

Finally we predict the golden boot could be won by Timo Werner. Werner signed for RB Leipzig in 2016 and scored 21 goals in his first full season. He followed that up with 13 goals, then 16 and in his final season in the Bundesliga he scored 28 goals. Then he had an underwhelming spell at Chelsea and has most recently returned to Leipzig last season scoring 9 goals. With Nkunku gone Werner could very well earn his spot as the starting striker and if he is able to recapture his form from a few seasons ago he will be a dangerous striker this season.

Bundesliga Most Assists Award Prediction

Raphael Guerreiro got the most assists last season with 12 and he is the front runner for getting the most assists this season as well. He constantly puts out incredible numbers when it comes to assists. On top of this he has most recently signed for Bayern Munich. If he is able to start most games he will have some of the best attacking players in the world to support.

Then there is Musiala and Kolo Muani. 2 young attackers who got 10 and 11 assists respectively. These players will only get better and if their stats improve then they will be ones to watch out for next season when it comes to assists.

Bundesliga Most Clean Sheets Prediction

Our predictions for the most clean sheets are Casteels and Kobel. Neuer is usually the nailed on pick however his injury will rule him out for the beginning of the season and with Jan Sommer also in the squad there will be very tough competition. Kobel and Casteels are 2 of the best keepers in the League outside of the Bayern Munich goalkeepers and as a result we predict they will be in contention for the golden glove.

Young Player of the Year for the Bundesliga 2023/24 Season

The young player of the year award will be a tough pick with many exciting talents playing in the Bundesliga next season. The obvious pick however has to be Jamal Musiala. Last season he was able to get 25 G/A in the bundesliga  and was one of the best players in the league.

Then there is Florian Wirtz. In the 21/22 season he got 7 goals and 10 assists in 24 games. Last season however he only managed 1 goal and 6 assists before getting injured and being ruled out for the majority of the season. Returning from injury this season if he is able to hit the ground running it will be between him and Jamal Musiala for this award. Frimpong of Bayer Leverkusen also had a 15 G/A season.

A few outside shouts, assuming teams perform well, include Hoffenheim’s Maximilian Beier, a young striker who played last season at a 2nd tier German club and had a decent season overall. Aside from him, Mainz 05 have a 17-year-old player who scored 2 in 9 from defensive positions.

We could also see Tiago Tomás of VfB Stuttgart having another good season at 20 years old.

Relegation Battle for 2023/24’s Bundesliga Season

A few teams that will be in a relegation battle this season could be FC Augsburg, Bochum, and Werder Bremen. Bochum and Augsburg had poor seasons last time out barely finishing above the relegation zone. The same can be said with Werder Bremen and their season will likely be defined by the performance of Fullkrug. If Fullkrug stays and continues to have another good season they should be able to survive but if he can’t deliver they could risk going down.

Then there are the newly promoted teams who will have to recruit well to adapt to the  standard of the Bundesliga. If they don’t improve their squads well enough they will be favourites to go back down. Heidenheim could also go straight back down to the 2nd division after seeing promotion through winning the Bundesliga 2.

Best Signings of the Bundesliga Transfer Window

The transfer window isn’t over yet, and how it finishes can decide many teams’ future and upcoming seasons. It’s important for teams to recruit well in order to compete in the top division.
